Did you cook the squash beforehand? The baking time for the pie is just to heat it through. The high heat browns the top and the low heat warms the inside. I don't see how this could have take an hour and a half when all of the ingredients are cooked. Make sure the squash is cooked to the texture of a potato. If you have any questions, let me know.
