Winter squash pie.

Jimmy, This was your recipe. Called for baking at 425 degrees for 10 minutes then at 325 for 30 minutes. I ended up baking this recipe for 1 hour & 15 minutes before it was done. I do use a timer & oven thermometer. So time & temp were recorded. This pie took an 1 hour & 25 minutes baking time. Can you tell me why. I followed your recipe to the letter. LR

Did you cook the squash beforehand? The baking time for the pie is just to heat it through. The high heat browns the top and the low heat warms the inside. I don't see how this could have take an hour and a half when all of the ingredients are cooked. Make sure the squash is cooked to the texture of a potato. If you have any questions, let me know. I'm sorry it didn't turn out the way you wanted. Jimmy
